Nutrition Counseling/Education

This course provides foundational skills of communicating nutrition science to individuals, groups, and the public through various formats including oral, written and multi-media. Educational theories, cultural competence and health literacy will be considered while training the students in the use of motivational interviewing, negotiation and counseling skills, and engagement through mass media.
