Select 18 hours of 3000 and/or 4000 level communication studies electivceousr.ses. COM 2241 or COM 2243 may not be counted toward the minor. DANCE, BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS (64 Hours) Students accepted into the BFA dance program must be able to execute a physical understanding of dance vocabulary and positions. To remain in the program following the first year, a student must demonstrate the capability to move to level II in either ballet or contemporary.

GENERAL STUDIES PROGRAM: SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENTS: All students are required to complete the Troy University General Studies Program requirements. The B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Program requires the selection of certain courses within the General Studies Program. Students apply the knowledge and skills learned in the Osteopathic Manipulative manipulative techniques in patient care settings. Students continue to build sessions and hands-on practice in clinical situations.

This course is a continuation of the 301 course provided through the UA Critical Languages Center. The course is for students who have a comprehensive grammatical knowledge, and are already able to communicate in the target language on the level of daily life in the target language. Students will work in this class to improve the accuracy and authenticity of socially correct communication in the target language.

This course is for students who have completed four semesters of a less commonly taught language and wish to pursue a higher level of language proficiency. Language proficiency must be evaluated as adequate for this level by the Critical Languages Center, and the consent of the CLC director is required. A continuation of JA 410 with emphasis on development of reading and writing skills. PW: Global Engagement

Students who want to explore teaching careers in making a satisfactory adjustment to the collegiate environment. General collegiate skills are introduced within the specific context of the teaching profession. In addition to orienting students to life at AAMU, this course helps students become familiar with lesson plan development by writing, teaching, and observing lessons in an elementary school class.

Step 2 will assist new students in making a satisfactory adjustment to the college environment as well as helping them explore teaching careers. Students will become familiar with the middle school setting by observing and discussing the middle school environment, and by teaching lessons to middle school students.

Students who want to explore teaching careers become familiar with the elementary and middle school environments by observing and discussing elementary and middle school classrooms, and by three lessons with both elementary and middle school students. They build and practice lesson design skills and also become familiar with excellent science and mathematics curricula for both the elementary and middle school settings.

Independent study on any subject pertaining to African-American studies, under the supervision of a professor in the chosen field and/or Director of the program. Special Topics Course
