The course covers a wide range of topics, including technical proficiency with basic plumbing tools, execution of installation tasks for plumbing systems such as pipe cutting, measuring, and joining, leak detection and basic repairs on plumbing components, sink and toilet installation, connecting water supply lines, and sealing and caulking. In addition to technical skills, the course emphasizes the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, safety awareness, problem-solving skills, communication skills, organization and time management, physical stamina and manual labor, learning agility, code compliance and regulations, customer interaction, and business awareness. The course begins with an introduction to the plumbing business, followed by modules on understanding plumbing systems, workplace safety, fixtures and appliances, basics of pipefitting, water heating systems, drainage systems, plumbing repair tools and techniques, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills, and customer service skills.
