Urban Economics Analysis

This course focuses on the economic analysis of urban areas and its application to urban and regional planning. Its main emphasis considers economic functions that promote growth and development of urban centers. These include the process of urbanization, industrial and urban locations, urban economic base, central place functions and functional classification, land price and urban land use structure, municipal revenues and expenditures, fiscal policies and services.
