An introduction to the principles and practices of audiology, including the anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, basic hearing tests, the diagnosis and management of hearing disorders, the measurement of hearing sensitivity, the evaluation of auditory function in different populations, the selection and fitting of hearing aids, the use of assistive listening devices, the prevention of hearing loss, and the ethical and legal considerations involved in the practice of audiology.
