Introduction to Geophysics

This course introduces students to geophysics, discussing Earth and the solar system, plate tectonics, gravity, gravimetry, and gravity gradiometry, rheology, seismology and seismic investigations, the Earth's magnetic field and geomagnetic investigations. Other techniques of geophysical exploration, including ground-penetrating radar, will be briefly covered.
