Introduction to Computer Systems for Visual Art

(3 clock hours per week). Introduction to hardware and system interface as well as an overview to foundation software used for page layout, vector-based imaging, and bitmap imaging. This is a foundation course centered on the understanding of the computer through computer software and types of media. Students will explore the theories and principles and build on this understanding through assigned projects to develop additional computer literacy.
